Laurier J. Boisvert President and CEO, Telesat Organizer CEO Round Table - Friday, May 21

Following service in the RCAF, Larry Boisvert joined Bell Canada in 1964. He joined Telesat in 1972, holding a variety of positions until appointed Vice President, Network Services in April 1988.

Mr. Boisvert was named Telesat's President & Chief Operating Officer in January 1993, and Chief Executive Officer in November 1993.

In January 2001, in addition to his Telesat responsibilities, Mr. Boisvert was appointed Chairman of the Board of Infosat Communications Inc. In January 2002, he was appointed Vice Chairman of the Board of Mobile Satellite Ventures LP. He is also a Board Member of several other companies, including the Communications Research Centre, WildBlue Communications Inc., and Hellas Sat Consortium Limited.

Born in Legal, Alberta, Mr. Boisvert holds an Honors Degree in Commerce from Carleton University. He is married with three daughters.
