The Gala Dinner, proudly sponsored and hosted by Telesat Canada, will be held at Windsor Station, one of Montréal's historical landmarks, built between 1887-1889. The evening promises to be a feast for the senses, beginning with cocktails sponsored by Arianespace and followed by exquisite fine food and delicious wines.
Inspired by Henry Hobson Richardson, the American architect, Bruce Price, designed the plans the station and adopted the roman medieval architectural style. This beautiful castle-like building is well known for its "salle des pas perdus" (hall of lost steps). The building was used as a train station and headquarters for the Canadian Pacific Railway. Nowadays, the beautifully preserved "salle des pas perdus", with its bronze statue dedicated to the workers of the Canadian Pacific who served in the army during the World War 1, plays host to major events in Montréal.
Windsor Station is located at the corner of de la Gauchetière and Peel streets, connected to Montréal's vast underground network, and is a short walking distance from the Centre Mont-Royal.
Free admission for registered participants and registered accompanying persons, tickets to be shown at entrance.
